Brown thinks he can knock Hendricks out

Most of the critics believes Ultimate Fighting Championship or UFC Welterweight division fighter Matt Brown needs to get at least one more win under his belt to get a crack at Johnny Hendricks, the divisional kingpin, but Brown himself believes he would not disappoint if he were given a title shot right now.

Speaking in an interview, The Immortal seemed quite confident about becoming the first fighter to put Hendricks out cold inside the cage.

He said that he is definitely sure than a match between them will not go to a decision. He added that he will hit Hendricks hard and knock him out. He also said that if he hit him nearly as many times as Robbie Lawler managed to do, he wouldn’t even be standing on the ground, he is such a strong hitter.

Brown also admitted that hated how much he had to hit Erick Silva and still the fight went to the third round and he didn’t like having to eat his own words and he definitely would love to get his groove back.

Matt Brown is currently on a seven fight winning streak after the win against Silva and is currently ranked at sixth in the divisional rankings by the UFC. But it still doesn’t seem that Brown could be next in line for a shot at the UFC Welterweight Championship which Hendricks secured by defeating Lawler after the sudden hiatus of Georges St. Pierre left it vacant.

While it cannot be denied Brown is on form, it can be said he hasn’t faced the likes of Georges St. Pierre or some of the big names in the division to warrant a title shot now.

Hendricks suffered his last to Georges St. Pierre as a split decision saw GSP retain the title at UFC 167.
